Australia's most prominent nationalist figures - Joel Davis, Thomas Sewell, Blair Cottrell and Jacob Hersant - have all been banned from X along with at least 12 other right-wing activist accounts.
Mr Davis told Noticer News he believes the Australian government requested the bans, and asked his supporters to pressure Elon Musk into revealing the truth.
"This was directly contradictory not only to Musk's commitment to free speech but also his public opposition to the censorship efforts of the Australian government"

Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Meanwhile, a completely redesigned attachment menu appears when sending multiple photos or vides. Users can tap "X selected" (X being the number of items) at the top of the panel to preview how the album will look in the chat when it's sent, as well as rearrange or remove selected media. So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
