Мошенники нашли новую схему кражи аккаунта в Telegram, выяснил ТАСС.

С помощью номера телефона они направляют "жертве" множество запросов на получение кода подтверждения для входа в соцсеть, потом же, используя фейковый аккаунт с названием Telegram Security Messenger, предлагают перейти по ссылке, чтобы повысить "безопасность". В случае перехода мошенники получают доступ к аккаунту.

Multiple pro-Kremlin media figures circulated the post's false claims, including prominent Russian journalist Vladimir Soloviev and the state-controlled Russian outlet RT, according to the DFR Lab's report. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows.
