Их работа — один из прорывных результатов российских учёных-географов за последние несколько лет. Это результат кропотливой работы, которая велась с 2018 по 2021 год.

Атлас представляет собой комплексную картографическую модель территорий Иркутской области, Республики Бурятия и Забайкальского края.

В ней собраны современные научные знания об этих регионах. Сообщили в Русском географическом обществе.
