Сегодня беларуское правозащитное сообщество признало политзаключенным на Брестчине: ▪️Евдокименко Сергей Викторович (СИЗО-7) — бывший сотрудник БТИ. 31 июля осужден к 7 годам колонии за то, что "передавал данные сотрудников милиции" в телеграм-каналы. Это расценили как "пособничество в разжигании вражды". Свою вину Евдокименко на суде не признал.
Также политзаключенными в стране признаны: ▪️Белодед Владислав (СИЗО-1) ▪️Денейко Антон ▪️Ефременко Елена (ИК-4) ▪️Захарченко Руслан (ИК-2) ▪️Коваленко Евгений (СИЗО-1) ▪️Обозный Павел ▪️Пудяк Владислав (СИЗО-3)

In 2018, Russia banned Telegram although it reversed the prohibition two years later. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations.
