“Trumbo” is a 2015 American biographical drama film directed by Jay Roach and written by John McNamara. The film follows the life of Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, and is based on the 1977 biography “Dalton Trumbo” by Bruce Alexander Cook.
Dalton Trumbo was Hollywood’s top screenwriter who scripted many award-winning films. In 1947, he and nine other artists (given the nickname the “Unfriendly Ten” or “Hollywood Ten”) were blacklisted and put on trial for their political beliefs (present or past membership in, alleged membership in, or perceived sympathy with the Communist Party USA, or on the basis of their refusal to assist Congressional or FBI investigation of alleged Communist influences in the motion picture industry).

Ukrainian forces successfully attacked Russian vehicles in the capital city of Kyiv thanks to a public tip made through the encrypted messaging app Telegram, Ukraine's top law-enforcement agency said on Tuesday. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. "We're seeing really dramatic moves, and it's all really tied to Ukraine right now, and in a secondary way, in terms of interest rates," Octavio Marenzi, CEO of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance Live on Thursday. "This war in Ukraine is going to give the Fed the ammunition, the cover that it needs, to not raise interest rates too quickly. And I think Jay Powell is a very tepid sort of inflation fighter and he's not going to do as much as he needs to do to get that under control. And this seems like an excuse to kick the can further down the road still and not do too much too soon." He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes.
