От себя добавлю, что жизнь-то на земле как раз останется. Бактерии даже в чернобыльском реакторе живут. Через 10-15 млн лет что-то новое начнет восстанавливаться. Планета такое уже не раз переживала. Но вот нам точно конец.
Так что любой кто сейчас рассуждает о том, что "а может все же нет?" просто играется с финальным для человечества Окном Овертона.
