Жители Чугуевского района говорят, что проще назвать те сёла, которые остались целы. В Шумном сидят без связи, а в Изюбрином и Антоновке добираются вплавь до трассы, чтобы кинуть весточку родным. Верхняя Бреевка и Ясное тонут. Вода не обошла стороной и Извилинку — туда спешит вертолёт. Всего подтоплены 186 домов и 540 участков — от внешнего мира отрезаны 33 населённых пункта.
Народ сравнивает прошедший циклон с тайфуном "Джуди", накрывшим регион в 1989-м. Тогда сильные ливни шли почти неделю, а ветер разгонялся до 166 км/ч. Погибло 15 человек. Так же были пустые краны и негорящие лампочки. Так же — режим ЧС.
