Она расположена в Шератте, части бельгийского города Визе в провинции Льеж в Валлонии. Первая шахта была вырыта в 1850 году для добычи каменного угля и впервые закрыта в 1877 году после аварии. Она вновь открылась 30 лет спустя в 1907 году и проработала до 1977 года. В начале 21 века шахта приобрела некоторую известность как городские руины.
