Появились такие окошки во время эпидемии чумы как способ не разориться во время карантина — так можно было продавать вино не контактируя друг с другом, а деньги клали на специальный поднос. Когда эпидемия утихла, необходимость в окошках исчезла, и какое-то время они не использовались совсем.

А дальше события разворачивались прямо у нас на глазах — окошки снова стали востребованы во время ковида. Сейчас это лишь приятная традиция с богатой историей.
