We continue to put things in order! 🧹

The likes and dislikes can now only be given to coubs of other creators and only from one of your channels.

You may have also noticed that since last week, the total number of views on a channel may have decreased. 💯 That's right, the counter now shows the sum of views of those coubs that can be seen by all users, while previously views of banned and hidden coubs were also counted.

P.S. authorization codes work again!

Passwords! 🔐
Use your email and password to log into your existing account or create a new one! Old passwords are still valid, but you can create a new one. Don't forget to verify your email and age to access all platform features.

The passwords are already working in the web version, and the updated apps (5.1.6) will be available to all users in the coming days.

We're sharing the important changes we've made on the platform over the past month and a half: updated menu, password login, updating counters, bug fixes, and enhancements.

Our new Coub editor is now available! 🎬

We have completely redesigned it, added missing features, and improved the capabilities for creating looped videos. 🔁

The editor is available in version 5.2.2 of the application on both platforms! Learn about all the changes and features in the story on the official Coub channel. We're excited to hear your feedback and see your new coubs!🤘

The list of likes and reposts can now be accessed by long-tapping on the icons below the coub. The like counter in the sidebar displays the number of likes from the active user channel.

We fixed the display of Transparent Frame and segments in the mobile editor for Android, and in iOS, drafts are now correctly saved on the device.

Updates are now available to all users! 🤘

We have updated the apps to version 5.3.0! 📱

Enhanced segment uploading and editing in the editor. Added new notifications and simplified password management..

We fixed the lists of likes and reposts on iOS, which now appear when long-pressing icons. This feature now works in stories on both platforms. Reposting your own coubs is now working again on Android, filters for hashtag search results are now available in iOS.

We have some interesting improvements coming up in the next update! 🤘

Apps update – version 5.4.0 is now available! Android / iOS📱

Updated feed design: more information about the coub and its creator, Recoub label, and the full coub title. In the next major update, we're planning to let you choose between «Full» and «Compact» feed views.

We've added a message at the end of the feed and clearer descriptions when you tap on the «Sensitive Content» label. The fullscreen mode has been updated, and we've completely revamped the process of uploading the original video in the editor.

Oh, and one more thing – the notification for the next version's release will show up in the app, and you can update it right there! 🤘

Recoubs have long been a part of our platform, but for most coubers, they were just a number on the counter: it wasn't easy to view them all, leaving many interesting original versions and coubs unnoticed.

We've introduced recoubs feeds, allowing you to track the evolution of ideas and the creative community's reactions to a coub. Another feature – source cards on the coub page. More details in the Update Story. Details in our story.

Huge apps update to verison 5.5.0 (Android / iOS):
• player information now hides during playback;
• you can now pin сoubs to your channel using the menu;
• added display of statuses and scheduled dates for drafts;
• new design for the channel screen;
• customize your feed view and default feed in the settings;
• simplified the authorization screen and fixed login via Google;
• the «Oldest» sorting option is back in My Likes and Bookmarks;
• unified the style of all icons;
• chats are back in the iOS app;
• other fixes in feeds, stories, and the editor.

Together with the community in the Best of 2023 feed, we've selected works that represent the diversity of genres, themes, and moods on Coub: VFX/SFX coubs, best editing and synchronization techniques, mashups and radiocoubs, perfect loops and cinemagraphs, jokes, and memes. Funny, sad, scary, surprising, and inspiring — it's all here to fuel your creativity!

All the Best of the year feeds are now shuffled several times a day, giving each coub added to the selection more chances to find its audience. Individual compilations of couber's highlights of the year will start publishing from January 1st, so there's still time to create your own! 🎄

Coub app updated to version 5.6.0 (Android / iOS)!

What’s new:
• recoubs feed: long-pressing the recoub icon will open a screen with the full list of recoubs, if any are available;
• sources: You can now view the list of sources for coubs made from linked videos through the 3-dots menu;
• you can now change the channel link in its settings.

Fixes in feeds, video upload process in the editor, and chats.
