Его сын от первого брака воевал на стороне ВСУ, уже после заключения Минских соглашений они стояли друг напротив друга. Сын сообщал в рацию "с добрым утром, папа!" и стрелял ВОГами в сторону позиций отца. Для "Зубра" знание того, что сын воюет на той стороне было самым тяжелым испытанием в жизни.
Скончался из-за проблем со здоровьем в 2020 году☦️
