در کودکان این پدیده به طور برجسته‌تری نمایان می‌شود و به دلیل نبود دانش صحیح از اقدامات درمانی،ترس و اضطراب به عنوان جزئی جدایی ناپذیر در فرآیند درمان، مطرح می‌شود.
