До 2021 года Яновский работал заместителем министра энергетики РФ. Потом стал помощником руководителя администрации президента РФ Антона Вайно. Яновский считался куратором работы комиссии по ТЭК. Последнее время он являлся первым вице-президентом Академии горных наук
Сегодня в суд может поступить ходатайство об избрании Яновскому меры пресечения.
