Работа по возобновлению деятельности посольства России в Нигере идет. Об этом в интервью ТАСС заявил посол РФ в Мали и по совместительству в Нигере Игорь Громыко.
"Точные сроки начала деятельности роспосольства в Ниамее еще не объявлены. Однако по итогам первой министерской конференции форума партнерства Россия - Африка в своем интервью замминистра иностранных дел, спецпредставитель президента РФ по Ближнему Востоку и странам Африки Михаил Богданов отметил, что уже ведется практическая работа в этом направлении и идет оформление посла в Нигер. Возможно, в ближайшем будущем станут известны более подробные детали", - сказал посол.
Деятельность российского посольства в Нигере была прекращена в сентябре 1992 года.
