Такой сценарий был реализован в отношении другого крупного проекта «Сахалин-2», активы управляющей компании «Sakhalin Energy» с иностранным участием были переданы российской компании «Сахалинская энергия». По словам Валерия Лимаренко, в августе новый оператор уже начал работу:
«Добыча и переработка углеводородов идут в полном объеме, обязательства по СРП выполняются» — отметил глава региона.
