قال ابن المقفع -ما معناه-: «إذا أقبل عليك إنسان فسرّك ألا يدبر عنك يومًا ما، فلا تُنعم الإقبال عليه، والتفتّح له، فإنّ الناسَ قد اندمجوا على طبائع لؤمٍ، يفرّون عمّن قرُب منهم، ويلصقون بمَن هرب عنهم».
