Meet the Deputy Commander of the Military Unit for Artillery of the 33rd Assault Battalion. Call sign – Raketa. Before the war, he was a professional footballer. He joined the AFU as a voluntary fighter when the occupiers entered North Saltivka, unable to tolerate it.
"Defending my homeland—there was no other path for me," Raketa recalls.
He first served in the 82nd Air AB and is now the Deputy Commander for Artillery of the 33rd AB. He has fought on all fronts: Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and now Kurakhove. With the 33rd AB, he took part in the Kursk Operation.
His goal is to end the war with Ukraine’s victory and return to his native Kharkiv.
What he values most about his work is, as he says, "eliminating the invaders." "I get incredible emotions from it—it’s adrenaline, a thrill to see them blown to pieces. I feel no fatigue—only forward, only victory," shares Raketa.
His motto: "Let the invaders burn in hell! Victory is near."
Thank you for your service, Raketa! 🫡 May God protect you! #33ab

Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. During the operations, Sebi officials seized various records and documents, including 34 mobile phones, six laptops, four desktops, four tablets, two hard drive disks and one pen drive from the custody of these persons. "He has to start being more proactive and to find a real solution to this situation, not stay in standby without interfering. It's a very irresponsible position from the owner of Telegram," she said. For tech stocks, “the main thing is yields,” Essaye said. Again, in contrast to Facebook, Google and Twitter, Telegram's founder Pavel Durov runs his company in relative secrecy from Dubai.
