Авиацию для тушения пожаров отправили аж в тысячу километров от самого сложного района - Горного улуса, откуда смог уже дошел до Якутска.
В то время, как четыре вертолета работают на западе региона, волонтеры в Марагасе в отчаянии: "Всё в огне, мы в окружении, техники нет. Последние трактора забрали, ситуация очень сложная. только слухи ходят, что у нас будет поддержка. Мы сначала сдержали огонь, но он прорвался сегодня. Сейчас я стою в плотнейшем тумане из огня...
Между тем единственный самолет-амфибия не успевает тушить очаги. В деревне Кюкей, которая в 100 км от Сунтара, куда послали авиацию, просто нечем дышать. Пожар уже в 5 км от деревни, все заволокло дымом. Жители жалуются: "Наши отцы, дяди, братья, дедушки тушат пожар, но их мало. Наши власти отказались от помощи Ди Каприо, типо у наших все есть. У нас ничего нету".
Волонтеры и жители пострадавших районов надеются, что и до них дойдет очередь. И как можно быстрее.
