Сообщение с вирусом Mamont приходит от человека из списка контактов либо от незнакомца. Письмо содержит текст «Это ты на видео?» (или что-то похожее) и прикрепленный установочный файл *.apk. Заинтригованный человек, не подозревая подвоха, кликает на файл и - вуаля! – вирус Mamont устанавливается на гаджет, считывает все личные данные и начинает рассылку вредоносного спама уже от имени жертвы по всем контактам из ее телефонной книги, разнося киберзаразу дальше. ❗️Ни в коем случает не открывайте и не устанавливайте подозрительные файлы, не переходите по "левым" ссылкам, даже если их якобы прислал близкий вам человек. Соблюдайте цифровую гигиену.

Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation.
