О его гибели сообщили в паблике «Некролог — Белгород» во «ВКонтакте». В посте говорится, что мужчина погиб «при выполнении воинского долга» под Авдеевкой 10 декабря 2023 года. Мать погибшего, комментируя мотивацию Михаила отправиться на войну, сообщила «Пеплу», что её «сын пошел защищать свою родину как патриот».
