فالضربُ محرم من باب الأوْلى، بل في آيتي الأحزاب لِحاقٌ يدل على عموم الحكم لهنَّ ولغيرهن، وهو قوله ﷻ: (وأقِمْنَ الصلوٰة وءاتينَ الزكوٰة وأطِعْنَ الله ورسولهُ) وهذه فرائِضٌ عامة معلومة من الدين بالضرورة. إذا علم ذلك ففي هاتين الآيتين الكريمتين عدد من الدلالات على فرض الحجاب وتغطية الوجه على عمومِ نساء المؤمنين من وُجُوهٍ ثلاث:
