В ковчеге также хранится святое миро, проистекающее от святыни, а также часть гроба, в котором в 1087 году мощи святого были перенесены из Мир Ликийских в итальянский город Бари.
Духовенство всей области во главе с митрополитом Челябинским и Миасским Алексием встретит святыню у входа в собор. После этого в храме начнется Божественная литургия, в ходе которой все желающие смогут приложиться к ковчегу и попросить святого Николая о помощи и заступничестве. Николай Чудотворец – один из самых любимых святых в мире. Он прославился неисчислимыми чудесами, к угоднику Божьему обращаются в самых разных нуждах и быстро получают помощь.
На Южном Урале ковчег будет пребывать с 30 ноября по 9 декабря включительно.
