Внезапно осчастливила себя постновогодним подарком: экземпляром третьего романа о Томасе Кромвеле. Трилогию Хилари Мантел я с самого начала собирала в оригинале по мере выхода романов. Первые два у меня хоть и в мягкой обложке, но в увеличенном формате. Найти же третий роман не в обычном покетбуке и не по цене крыла самолета оказалось не так просто. Но когда я увидела книгу в живую, то страшно обрадовалась, что не схватила обычный покетбук. Книга даже не большая. Она огромная!

И да, у меня все еще стоит новогодняя ёлка. В этом году пришлось привязать её к шурупам в стене и скромно украсить парочкой пластиковых игрушек. Вся коллекция любимых стеклянных украшений осталась в коробке для сохранности. Издержки жизни с моим котом. Книги не трогает, и на том спасибо.

Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children.
