أعظم دافع يحث المسلمة للبذل في طريق العلم والصبر على تحصيله هو تصورها الواضح عن معنى وجودها وغاية حركتها، وتستمد المسلمة هذه الحقيقة من مشكاة الوحي؛ فإن وعيت بأن مدار وجودها بتمثلها وتحقيقها للعبودية كان طلبُها للعلم أشد رغبة ﴿إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ﴾. ثم تستقرّ هذه الحقيقة الإيمانية فترسخ فيها ثابتةً كالجبال الراسيات إن هيَ نمّتها من خلال التدبر في كلام الله تعالى؛ فمثلاً إذا أشبعت قلبها بنماذج مشرقة من كتاب الله من نساء عرفن الله فحصل لهن ذكرًا ومقامًا خاصًا عند خالقهن لأزعجتها نفسها ونفرت من أن تكون لصيقة الأرض فحرّكتها لمقامات إيمانية سامقة وقوّتها لتحصيل كل فضيلة، وطلب العلم من أعظم الوسائل التي تنال بها أزكى الفضائل، وأول العلم كتاب الله وتدبّره.
