20 сентября в главном здании БЕН РАН состоялось организационное совещание конкурса «Наука и исследования: открытия каждый день»
Это была первая встреча представителей школ, ученики которых будут участвовать в Конкурсе и институтов РАН, входящих в Оргкомитет Конкурса - ИПЭЭ РАН, ИЛАН, ВИНИТИ РАН, ИПМех РАН, ИППИ РАН, ИКИ РАН, ИНАСАН.
С приветственным словом от БЕН РАН - организатора этого Конкурса - выступили Олег Олегович Махно, врио директора БЕН РАН, председатель Оргкомитета Конкурса и врио зам. директора по библиотечной работе БЕН РАН, зам. председателя Оргкомитета Умнова Ирина Александровна. Затем представители институтов рассказали о своих программах работы с детьми и ответили на вопросы учителей и директоров школ. Куратор Конкурса Чадова Ольга Георгиевна, зам. нач. ООСМ БЕН РАН, рассказала о условиях, сроках проведения Конкурса, регламентах взаимодействия представителей школ и институтов, экспертов и партнеров. По окончании официальной части совещания, коллеги пообщались в неформальной обстановке.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. In view of this, the regulator has cautioned investors not to rely on such investment tips / advice received through social media platforms. It has also said investors should exercise utmost caution while taking investment decisions while dealing in the securities market. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change.
