Дом Скакового общества

Здание было построено в 1905 году архитектором Иваном Жолтовский в стиле неоклассицизм на Скаковой улице рядом с Московским ипподромом. Это была первая работа Жолтовского, который впоследствии стал крупным советским архитектором. В начале века Скаковое общество нуждалось в штаб-квартире для проведения заседаний, приемов, встреч и торжественных обедов.

Это трехэтажное здание с двумя ризалитами на главном фасаде. Парадный вход оформлен портиком с разорванным фронтоном и колоннами коринфского ордера. На боковом фасаде в виде полуротонды оформлен балкон, откуда можно было издалека наблюдать за скачками на ипподроме. Фасад украшен лепными фризами на античные темы с изображением скачущих всадников. Декорированием интерьера занимался театральный художник Игнатий Навинский.

Дом признан памятников регионального значения. Находится в сильном запустении, нуждается в срочной реставрации.
