По его словам, имеющийся состав Вооруженных сил страны выполняет поставленные задачи, при этом ежедневно контракт с минобороны подписывают около 1 тысячи человек.
Ранее первый заместитель Картаполова в комитете Андрей Журавлев заявил, что мужчин надо готовить к защите страны. Некоторые расценили это как заявление о мобилизации.
Глава комитета пояснил слова коллеги: "В будущем может быть все, что угодно. Мы прекрасно видим, чем занимается Европа, она активно переходит на военные рельсы".
