Lust 39/01๐Ÿ”ž Telegram | DID YOU KNOW?

Telegram has gained a reputation as the โ€œsecureโ€ communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, itโ€™s important to start by asking yourself, โ€œWhat exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?โ€ These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegramโ€™s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. Markets continued to grapple with the economic and corporate earnings implications relating to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. โ€œWe have a ton of uncertainty right now,โ€ said Stephanie Link, chief investment strategist and portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors. โ€œWeโ€™re dealing with a war, weโ€™re dealing with inflation. We donโ€™t know what it means to earnings.โ€ Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram.
