سال ۸۹ سفر کوتاهی به تاجیکستان(به قول خودشان طفل جدامانده از مادر) داشتم. در راهروی ساختمان رادیو تلویزیون استاد دولتمند را دیدم که در حال رفتن بود. پیش رفتم و با ذوق‌زدگی درودی نثارش کردم. چون دانست ایرانی‌‌ام، به گرمی مرا در آغوش فشرد و از سرزمین نیاکان* پرسید. با این که اندکی ناخوش‌احوال بود، گروهش را بازگرداند و همچنان که دست مرا فشرده در دست گرفته بود به استودیو رفتیم. خودش پشت پیانو نشست، گروه را دور استودیو آرایش داد و مرا هم در نزدیک خودش نشاند.نواختن و خواندن آغاز کرد و سه آهنگ از آهنگ‌های مشهور از جمله "حیلت رها کن عاشقا، دیوانه شو، دیوانه شو، را برایم خواند مرا هم به همخوانی دعوت کرد. من هم سرمست از این توفیق ناگهانی، گوشواره‌ها را با او می‌خواندم. اینچنین یکی از زیباترین روزهای زندگی من رقم خورد و من تا روزها بلکه هنوز سر مست از آن دیدار پرشور ناگهانی و مهربانی‌های بی‌اندازه استاد. تا این که امروز خبر پرواز عارفانه‌اش را در رسانه‌ها خواندم.

In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands.
