فقال: ما شئتَ، قلت : الربعَ؟ قال: ما شئتَ، فإن زدتَ فهو خيرٌ لك، قلتُ: النصفَ؟! قال: ما شئتَ، فإن زدتَ فهو خيرٌ لك، قلت: فالثُّلُثَيْنِ؟ قال: ما شئتَ، فإن زدتَ فهو خيرٌ لك، قلتُ: أجعلُ لك صلاتي كلَّها؟!

Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. This provided opportunity to their linked entities to offload their shares at higher prices and make significant profits at the cost of unsuspecting retail investors. But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war.
