За время проката, который начался 22 ноября, «Злая» собрала более 635 млн долларов и стала самой кассовой адаптацией бродвейских мюзиклов в истории. Фильм высоко оценили как критики, так и зрители — рейтинг на Rotten Tomatoes составляет 88% и 95% соответственно.
