8 августа по инициативе Международного фонда защиты животных «Animal Welfare» отмечается всемирный день кошек. Кошки и коты некоторых политзаключенных остались без хозяев и были вынуждены искать новый дом, кто-то умер почти сразу после обыска, а одну из кошек, которая жила в СИЗО, удалось вызволить на свободу благодаря политзаключенному Павлу Крисевичу и его близким. В новой подборке — грустные и трогательные истории о питомцах узников и узниц.

Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. In the United States, Telegram's lower public profile has helped it mostly avoid high level scrutiny from Congress, but it has not gone unnoticed.
