200 дней и ночей город держался под ударами и не сдавался. Здесь рухнула вера в непобедимость вермахта. Именно отсюда начался путь к Берлину.

Ленинградцы также внесли важный вклад в победу на Волге. 12 мая 2023 года на Мамаевом кургане открыли памятный знак нашим воинам, павшим в боях за Сталинград.

В карточках отразили воспоминания героев, в которых оживают страх, надежда и несгибаемый дух защитников города.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Tuesday that Ukrainian forces "destroy the invaders wherever we can." The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred."
