Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets.
