30 ноября 1988 г. на Киевском авиазаводе была окончена сборка опытного образца самолета Ан-225 «Мрия».

Разработка самолета, началась в 1985 г. Для создания самолета потребовался рекордно короткий срок - 3,5 года. Это стало возможным благодаря широкой унификации узлов и агрегатов нового самолета с узлами и агрегатами самолета Ан-124.

Великое творение рук человеческих с печальным концом. И к сожалению, на данный момент, без дальнейшей реализации…а зря.
