Все, кто мало-мальски знаком с качественной социологией, знают понятие grounded theory. Многие переводят его как обоснованная теория, а автора понятия называют Страусом, не сами, конечно, а всего лишь повторяя глубокий и хорошо растиражированный перевод.
Теодор Шанин опубликовал в Социологическом журнале статью о методологии двойной рефлексивности, используя весьма поверхностные понятия: grounded theory назвал заземленной теорией, а A. Strauss назвал Ансельмом Строссом.
Термин Шанину подсказал Батыгин. Сын военного летчика, проведший детство на аэродромах, играющий в симуляторы полетов, он видел теорию как способ посадить поломанную машину на не вполне пригодную полосу. Хорошая метафора, но я бы выбрал иную, электрическую, говорил не о приземлению, а о заземлении. Единственная задача теории – перестать убеждать других в своей обоснованности, заземлить академическую прыть или хотя бы начать проводить, а не бить током.
Завтра, уже через час, день памяти Теодора, который не пытался выдавать приземление за обоснование, а социолога за имперскую птицу, хотя, как известно со слов Батыгина, мир пернатых лучше всего описывает обоснованных социологов.

On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised.
