Педагоги и ученики рассказали про войны, которые отстояли наши солдаты, аллею Ангелов в Донбассе. Вспомнили и Николая Какурина, выпускника школы, который погиб в ходе военной операции в городе Авдеевка Донецкой Народной Республики. В мае 2024 году в память о нем был открыт мурал.
Родители выпускника приняли участие в мероприятии. Они принесли с собой Орден Мужества, который Родителям предоставили слово, где они рассказали, что Николай награждён Орденом Мужества. Посмертно.
