Ученые РАН обнаружили смертельный вирус CbBV у камчатских крабов-стригунов.
Сотрудники Национального научного центра морской биологии имени А.В.Жирмунского ДВО РАН выявили у камчатских крабов-стригунов смертельно опасный вирус, получивший название CbBV, сообщает aif܂ru. По данным издания, патоген грозит снижением численности этих членистоногих.
Ученые объяснили, что новый вирус поражает крабов вида Chionoecetes bairdi. Основной симптом — развитие так называемого синдрома молочной гемолимфы, который может привести к смертельному исходу. Специалисты опасаются, что распространение вируса может привести к значительному сокращению популяции крабов-стригунов, считающихся промысловым видом.
