За девять месяцев 2024 года банки ввезли $10,24 млрд наличной валюты, что почти в два раза больше, чем за аналогичный период прошлого года, и в 13 раз больше по сравнению с довоенным 2021 годом. Основной причиной такого всплеска является высокий спрос населения, пытающегося обезопасить свои сбережения.
Спрос на валюту у населения настолько высок, что на его покрытие уходит большая часть ввезенной банками налички. Если в 2022 году на это шло 19% завезенной валюты, то сейчас — уже 71%.
