Grand Palais, построенный для Всемирной выставки 1900 года с использованием передовых технологий того времени, получил всемирную известность благодаря своему нефу и стеклянной крыше. Эмблематический памятник архитектуры и раньше использовался для проведения спортивных и художественных мероприятий, но последние годы находился на полной реставрации и был закрыт для посещений.

На время Олимпийских и Паралимпийских игр Гран-Пале частично открыли и его главный зал стал одной из олимпийских площадок.

Полное открытие Grand Palais намечено на 2025 год.
