Дому культуры имени Дзержинского планируют вернуть исторический облик.
До революции 1917 года на улице Московская стояла церковь Богоявления Господня, которую в последствии и переделали в ДК. В 2019 году здание передали Пензенской епархии и открыли Духовно-просветительский центр.
Собору с такой богатой историей решили вернуть купола. Об этом сообщил министр по охране памятников истории и культуры региона Александр Понякин.
Для реставрации нужны деньги, поэтому была подана заявка на участие в программе «Развитие культуры РФ». Документы на рассмотрении и в случае положительного ответа, церковь начнут ремонтировать в ближайшее время.
