Летом 2024 года группа исследователей из Дирекции биологических ресурсов, особо охраняемых природных территорий и природных парков и Института биологических проблем криолитозоны СО РАН занимались авиавизуальным учетом численности овцебыков на территории Анабарского и Булунского улусов Якутии. За 11 учетных полетов было пройдено почти 7000 км с учетной полосой по 2,5 км с обеих сторон воздушного судна. Ученым удалось насчитать 5838 овцебыков в Анабарском улусе, 969 — в Булунском и в 1190 — в Аллаиховском. Комментирует эксперт ПОРА, координатор проекта «Овцебык.РФ» Игорь Мишуков.

He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. Lastly, the web previews of t.me links have been given a new look, adding chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-features Telegram Web client. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
