Производитель должен подписать с городским перевозчиком DPP рамочный контракт стоимостью 16,6 млрд чешских крон (€677,3 млн) на поставку 200 однонаправленных трамваев модели ForCity Plus. Твердая часть закупки включает 40 машин. В конкурсе компания обошла Alstom, Siemens Mobility, Stadler, и Pesa, предложив наименьшую цену. Остальные участники до 25 ноября могут оспорить его итоги.
Подвижной состав в рамках твердой части должен быть доставлен в город до 2026 года, в рамках опциона – до 2035-го. Трамваи должны иметь длину до 32 м и вмещать 220 пассажиров, включая не менее 60 мест для сидения.
Стоит отметить, что именно в Праге Skoda Group получала первый в своей истории заказ на поставку трамваев. С 2005 по 2009 годы ей было поставлено 60 трамваев Electra 14T. Позднее компания получила от города еще один заказ на 250 трамваев ForCity 15T – первых низкопольных машин в линейке производителя.
