В годы его архипастырского служения на Рязанской земле был построен храм в честь благоверного князя-страстотерпца Романа Рязанского, пострадавшего в Орде, во имя которого до него в епархии не было возведено ни одного храма. Похоронен владыка в Архангельском соборе Рязанского кремля.
