The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Now safely in France with his spouse and three of his children, Kliuchnikov scrolls through Telegram to learn about the devastation happening in his home country. But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat. "He has to start being more proactive and to find a real solution to this situation, not stay in standby without interfering. It's a very irresponsible position from the owner of Telegram," she said.
