⚓️ Центральный военно-морской музей имени Петра Великого в городе Санкт-Петербурге - один из крупнейших мировых музеев, посвященных флоту. Коллекция музея составляет свыше 700 тысяч экспонатов, в том числе 2000 моделей кораблей. В 2013-м году музей переехал в здание бывших Крюковских казарм. Здесь, перед отправкой в море, формировались экипажи военно-морских судов Российского императорского флота. Для меня особенно ценно пройти по этим залам. 120 лет назад по ним, перед отправкой на Русско-японскую войну, ходил и мой прадед, унтер-офицер Константин Иванович Яремов.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. Although some channels have been removed, the curation process is considered opaque and insufficient by analysts. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion.
