В Эр-Рияде между российскими боксёрами состоялся матч-реванш за звание абсолютного чемпиона мира в полутяжёлом весе. Победу одержал Дмитрий Бивол

По итогам 12 раундов Бивол победил действующего чемпиона Артура Бетербиева решением судей большинством голосов. Первый бой между боксерами прошёл в октябре 2024 года и завершился победой Бетербиева.

Выиграв бой-реванш в Эр-Рияде и впервые прервав серию побед Бетербиева, Бивол получил четыре главных чемпионских пояса — WBA, WBC, IBF и WBO.

Из-за антироссийских санкций спортсмены выступали под флагами других стран. Бивол — под флагом Кыргызстана, а Бетербиев — под флагом Канады.
