Торжественная церемония открытия прошла у Холма Славы. Она приурочена к памятной дате – именно 15 февраля 1989 года завершился вывод советских войск из Афганистана.
Как рассказал руководитель Судакского отделения «Боевое братство» Геннадий Маркоза, идея воздвигнуть памятник появилась ещё 28 лет назад.
Строительство памятника началось 30 апреля 2023 года. Мемориал выполнили из гранита.

On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. There was another possible development: Reuters also reported that Ukraine said that Belarus could soon join the invasion of Ukraine. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine. Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news.
