Сера Кхандро была учителем тибетского буддизма и открывателем сокровищ терма. Она является одной из немногих женщин, признанных великими учителями, и ее история жизни примечательна своими испытаниями и духовными достижениями. Это учение содержит четыре ключевых пункта: объяснение четырех мыслей, правильный взгляд на Бодхичитту, правильную медитацию осознанности и правильное поведение сострадательных действий и развитие гармоничной личности.
