Сегодня Балахне - 550 лет, это место с богатой историей: в свое время центр соледобычи и кораблестроения, этапный город для ополчения Минина и Пожарского, энергоцентр в годы Великой Отечественной и после, родина отважных и предприимчивых людей во все времена. Здесь расположен древнейший каменный храм региона, основанный в эпоху Ивана Грозного. А еще есть основание полагать, что история города уходит в домонгольский период Руси. Сейчас этим вопросом занимаются историки.
Юбилей – новая страница, которая пишется здесь и сейчас. Это возможность для положительных изменений, многие из которых уже начались. С праздником!
